Om mig
I am professor in Wood Chemistry, which is a subject that deals with the chemical composition of wood and how it reacts in different natural and technical processes. The biosynthesis of wood components is also included in the subject. I have broad interests within the subject, but my specialities have been the enzymes involved in wood biodegradations and their application, and the role of lignin in wood, and especially its interactions with the wood polysaccharides. In the later years I have also been entrepreneurship and inventions of novel processes and products for wood based industry.
I am also deeply engaged in teaching, were I teach in courses directed on chemical descriptions of processes for pulp and paper industry, and environmental chemistry. I am co-author of several textbooks used in academic courses.
