About me
As part of a multidisciplinary team of researchers (ReFit, formally i-LEAP) my current research is focused on developing advanced performance lubrication solutions using non-halogenated ionic liquids (ILs).
In particular, I am interested in understanding how the interfacial self-assembly and nanotribological properites of ILs lubricant systens may be controlled by electric fields, and am involved in several projects aimed to expand the capabilities of existing experimental techniques in order to study such phenomena.
Key techniques and expertise include neutron (NR) and X-ray reflectivity (XRR), surface force apparatus (SFA), atomic force microscopy (AFM) and quartz crystal microbalance (QCM).
