About me

I am a PhD student in the Division of Concrete Structures in Civil and Architectural Engineering at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. My current research focuses on the performance and sustainability of shotcrete (sprayed concrete), with an emphasis on evaluating early-age mechanical properties—particularly bond strength—in wet-mix shotcrete incorporating supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs).

Work Experience

Prior to my doctoral studies, I worked as a project engineer in the tunnelling industry. My responsibilities included production planning and documentation, developing drill plans, and conducting shotcrete testing.

Educational Background

I hold a Master's degree in Civil and Architectural Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, with a specialisation in rock mechanics, tunnelling, and structural design. I also earned a Bachelor's degree in Civil and Infrastructure Engineering (Honours) through a joint program between the University of Baghdad and Swinburne University of Technology.
