About me

Research Assistant: Sector-coupling Green Hydrogen for Steel Production – Power grid support and Sustainable Mobility.

As an Environmental Engineer with a strong foundation in water and wastewater treatment, I’ve built my career around the intersection of sustainability and cutting-edge technology. I hold a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering and Sustainable Infrastructure(KTH Royal Institute of Technology), where I completed my thesis on Design and Optimisation of Wastewater Treatment with Ultrafiltration for potential groundwater recharge &  B.Tech in Civil Engineering from Manipal University Jaipur) where I worked on a novel removal mechanism incorporating Microbial Fuel Cell on various Dairy & Dye wastewater feeds.

During my time at XZERO AB, I led key projects focusing on the manufacturing and concentration of semiconductor-grade IPA, contributed to the product development of a desktop-based UPW Dispenser Nanocap with fine-tuned particle control, and collaborated on research for battery waste recycling. My laboratory work involved tackling global water challenges, such as the removal of PFAS and fluoride from groundwater, utilizing advanced water purification techniques and particle removal smaller than 20 nm.

Now, my journey has brought me back to my alma mater, KTH, where I’m working on an exciting project that focuses on green hydrogen for decarbonizing hard-to-abate sectors like steel production. I’m part of a second pre-study on the Ovako hydrogen plant in Hofors, the world's first industrial steel production site using hydrogen for heating. My experience in ultra-pure water production has allowed me to seamlessly pivot into green hydrogen, where electrolyzers rely on highly purified water. While I had briefly worked on this topic before, I am now diving deeper, contributing to research aimed at hydrogen storage, refueling stations for heavy transport, and broader integration into energy grids.

I am passionate about addressing the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal 6 & 9 focusing on water quality and sustainable decarbonization within Industry Innovation and Infrastructure. I thrive in collaborative environments, having successfully led technical projects across multi-disciplinary teams.
