Om mig
I am a PhD candidate at the Heat and Power Division within the Department of Energy Technologies, and I am majorly dedicated to conducting research on the integration of hybrid renewable systems for industrial decarbonization. Working within the framework of EU-funded Projects eLITHE and JOULIA, I am focused on the incorporation of high temperature thermal energy storage to “hard-to-abate” sectors such as the ceramic industry and the establishment of non-conventional electrified heating methods (like induction and microwave heating) in targeted industrial processes where they would be more beneficial than conventional heating.
Background
I obtained a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) in Nigeria. Afterwards, driven by my passion for renewable energy and decarbonization, I completed an Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters Degree Program in Decentralized smart ENergy SYStems (DENSYS) – schooling at the University of Lorraine (Nancy, France) for the first year and at the Polytechnic University of Catalunya (UPC) in Barcelona for the second year’s specialization in thermal energy engineering. I am excited to continue along the energy sustainability trajectory with this PhD in Energy Technologies.
