Received M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from KTH in 1984. In 1991, received Ph.D degree in Plasma Physics and Fusion Research from KTH with a thesis on Experimental studies of plasma equilibrium and stability. Awarded the Docent title in Fusion Plasma Physics at KTH in 1995. During the years 1992-93 post-doctor researcher at the Electrotechnical Laboratory in Tsukuba, Japan. In 1994 employed at KTH as Research Associate and in 1998 as Associate Professor. Since 2014 Professor in Fusion Plasma Physics at KTH. Serves as Deputy Head of the Division of Electromagnetic Engineering and Fusion Science. Teaches undergraduate courses in fusion plasma physics and electrotechnical modelling. Leader of the EXTRAP T2R plasma experiment facility. Research interests include experimental studies of magnetohydrodynamic instabilities and development of methods for active feedback control of instabilities. Currently supervising three Ph.D students.
