About me
Romain Balieu is researcher and Docent in Highway Engineering at KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
Romain´s research area is focused on long-term performance simulations of asphalt material. Within different research projects, several tools have been developed in order to simulate many types of damage such as rutting, frost heave or freeze-thaw. In combination with LCA, these tools have been employed on different types of infrastructures such as traditional and electrified roads, harbor pavement as well as railway structure with asphalt layer.
