About me
I work as Associate professor (Swedish: Universitetslektor) in Experimental Nuclear Physics at KTH. I am, since Jan. 2024, head of the research division Nuclear Science and Engineering in the Department of Physics, School of Sceince, KTH.
Research
My research interests include both fundamental research and applications:
- gamma spectroscopy for studying exotic nuclear phenomena far from stability.
- lifetime measurements of excited states in atomic nuclei
- Micro- and nano dosimetry (in collaboration with SSM, the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority)
- Radon detector for earthquake precursor research (the artEmis project)
At the moment I supervise two PhD students: Linda Eliasson (micro/nano dosimetry) and Ebbe Cederlöf (experimental nuclear physics).
MSc and BSc diploma projects
MSc students interested in MSc diploma projects connected to the above research are most welcome to contact me to discuss what project could be available at the moment. We also usually office BSc diploma projects in the Spring semester for the Engineering Physics (CTFYS) programme at KTH.
Education
I am responsible for several courses at the Department of Physics, KTH. Among them the courses SH1012 Modern Physics, SH2603 Radiation Protection, Dosimetry, and Detectors (In the Master Programme of Nuclear Engineering) and SH2103 Subatomic Physics (in the Master Programme of Engineering Physics).
Educational Leadership
I am, since Jan. 2022, deputy head of education at School of Science at KTH. I am also responsible for Life Long Learning (LLL) at the SCI school. Between 2012 and 2022 I was the director of undergraduate studies (Studierektor) at the Department of Physics at KTH. Between 2006 and 2011 I was involved in the development and coordination of the master programme in Nuclear Engineering, which started in 2007.
