About me

I am a postdoctoral researcher specializing in terrestrial groundwater fluxes and the associated transport of pollutants from land to sea, particularly within the context of the Baltic Sea. I hold a PhD in urban water engineering from Luleå University of Technology focusing on urban snow and stromwater management.
My specific research activities include,

  • Identification of sources contributing to groundwater pollution and the influential factors therein.
  • Development of water and pollutant transport models aimed at quantifying Submarine Groundwater Discharge (SGD) rates, along with the associated transport of nutrients and pollutants to the sea.
  • Exploration of the impacts of geology, land use, and climate change on SGD dynamics and the subsequent loads of nutrients and pollutants

I am working under the supervision of Associate Professor Zahra Kalantariand Professor Georgia Destouni.
