About me
I obtained my PhD from the Karolinska Institute, where I focused on transcriptional gene expression signatures to improve therapy selection and outcomes for breast cancer patients.
In 2019, I began a postdoctoral position at Stanford University, working on personalized cancer medicine and my research there centered on immune-responsive cancers, including Triple Negative Breast Cancer, Colorectal Cancer, and Melanoma, aiming to enhance therapeutic strategies.
In 2020, I joined the University of California, San Francisco, contributing to the StandUp2Cancer WCDT cohort, the largest collection of metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) patients in the U.S.
Then, I joined the Institute of Cancer Research and Royal Marsden Hospital in London, UK, as a senior postdoctoral position under Prof. Johann de Bono, where I focused on the translational aspects of mCRPC, leveraging large prostate cancer cohorts from the UK.
I am also a member of the Swedish Trans-Atlantic Researchers and Scholars Network (STARS), connecting with talented Swedish scientists across the globe.
In 2024, I was awarded the Data-Driven Life Science Fellowship from the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation, hosted by KTH Royal Institute of Technology where I have my lab at the department of Protein Sciences, the Division of Systems Biology. In my lab, we explore the microbiome’s impact on cancer progression and its clinical implications.
