Project information

This project is part of the Competence Centre in Additive Manufacturing for the Life Sciences that gathers more than 20 partners in academia, industry and the public sector to support new technologies development in Additive Manufacturing for the Life Sciences.

In the future, manufacturing of biopharmaceuticals complex 3D-printing of bioprocess-compatible materials with high resolution is needed. There is also a need for developing corrosive-resistant materials for bioprocessing applications. Through 3D-printing and new post-processing techniques, there is a possibility to produce e.g. improved surfaces of 3D-printed parts avoid bioburden and produce more durable and simplified components to speed up the supply of bioprocess technologies to market.
