Andreas Naoum
About me
Andreas Naoum earned his BSc degree (with Hons.) in Computer Science from the University of Cyprus in 2022, focusing on the theoretical foundations of computer science. During his undergraduate studies, he participated as an intern in the Visorsurf project and was part of the Smart Networked System Group at CYENS, where he conducted research focused on congestion control and fault management algorithms. His research has been published at international conferences.
Andreas is currently pursuing an MSc degree in ICT Innovation, specializing in Autonomous Systems at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. He conducted research in the Robotics, Perception and Learning (RPL) Lab, where he worked on extracting and analyzing multimodal data (speech, face, gaze, head, and body data) from Human-Robot Interactions. The project in RPL involved developing algorithms to automatically annotate confusion during failures in human-robot collaboration and creating mechanisms that use observed human behavior to predict confusion and adapt the level of failure explanation accordingly. Andreas's current research interests include cognitive and social robotics, social AI, and explainable AI.
Beyond academia, Andreas is engaged in innovation and entrepreneurship through courses, startup experience, and competitions.
