Alireza Qazizadeh

Dr. Qazizadeh graduated from a well-recognized program in mechanical engineering with specialization in Rolling Stock from University of Science and Technology in 2010. Already at this bachelor level he showed interest for teaching freshmen, researching and designing test rigs.

Afterwards he continued his favorite topic, Sound and Vibration, at the well-established MWL (Marcus Wallenberg Laboratory) at KTH Royal Institute of Technology where he built a solid understanding in the topic and graduated in 2012.

With the background in rolling stock and vibration control, he pursued his PhD in Vibration and Dynamic control of rail vehicles at Rail Vehicles Division at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. During this period, he published several research papers in recognizable journals and presented his work at international conferences. He received his PhD in 2017.

As of today, Dr. Qazizadeh, works one day a week at KTH as a Researcher where he mainly supervises Master and PhD students on the topics of his research interest. He also leads a group of senior students in designing and manufacturing an advanced Roller Rig for KTH which would be one of its kind in Nordic countries once built. Other activities at KTH include teaching in several courses, the list of which can be found below. While not at KTH, he works as a Senior Assessor on standards of railway industry making sure the quality of services and products are guaranteed and in compliance with the regulations.

·        Condition Monitoring and AI (Machine Learning)

·        Design of experimental test rigs (Roller Rig)
