Research Interests
My research is focused on the design, synthesis and characterisation of hybrid and inorganic materials, in bulk (as single crystals) and in nano (as thin films), for energy and environmental applications. My research emphasis is on the analysis of the surfaces and interfaces of these materials using photoelectron spectroscopy based on synchrotron radiation, which enables a detailed characterization of their electronic structure. Additionally, I am interested in following and investigating possible chemical reactions that may occur at surfaces and interfaces under external stimuli, with the aim of enhancing the efficiency and stability of functional devices.
