Over the past decade the environmental humanities has established itself as a vibrant field that connects environmental study in disciplines such as history, literature, cultural analysis, human geography and anthropology. But the field has yet to build strong bridges to the natural sciences and technological fields, such as engineering. This talk will introduce the environmental humanities, and offer some observations on how it can reshape our approach to major environmental and sustainability challenges.

Rob Gioielli is Associate Professor of Environmental Humanities at the Division of History of Science, Technology and Environment and Director of the KTH Environmental Humanities Laboratory.
