Open position: PhD Student(s) in Biomechanics in movement disability
The PhD students will join the biomechanics research group at KTH MoveAbility. The growing group is multicultural and multidisciplinary.
Our research focuses on technology to decode, measure and enhance human movements, particularly in people with motor disabilities.
The doctoral position is financed by Stiftelsen Promobilia, and focuses on motor performance in people with motor impairments after neurological or muscle diseases. You will measure, analyze and model movements, via data from experiments on people with and without disabilities, in the lab and outside using wearable sensors, and via biomechanical simulations and data-driven methods. The goals are to identify movement abnormalities and their connection to physical symptoms.
Supervision: Professor Lanie Gutierrez Farewik is proposed to supervise the doctoral student.
