2021 Mechatronics HK Grand Finale!
This year's projects range from autonomous driving and a self-docking speedboat to machines for sustainable forestry and recycling solutions, not to mention a test rig for reducing repetitive strain injuries in factory workers!
Join us for the Zoom Presentations at kl.13 to find what the students have been up to since March, then visit the five Team Zoom Rooms to see Demos of their projects. All welcome!
Time: Mon 2021-12-13 13.00 - 17.30
Due to the latest Covid situation, only KTH people and the project stakeholders can be on Campus. Friends and family and other interested parties are warmly welcome to find out more about this year's projects via Zoom.

AD-EYE On The Edge - Autonomous Driving Platform with AD-EYE.se |
Zoom Room:
kth-se.zoom.us/s/66392475686
Adding communication between vehicles and infrastructure Enabling vehicles to communicate with and react to each other is an essential component to achieve system wide optimization for characteristics such as fuel efficiency and safety that cannot be performed by a single vehicle. To realize this type of communication the focus of our project has been the development of a Road-Side Unit and the integration of vehicle communication modules. The result of this project is then to be integrated into the AD-EYE testbed which is a testbed for automated driving and intelligent transportation systems at KTH. [ Read more here (JPG 103 kB) ] |
Power Tool Test Rig for Ergonomic Assessment and Optimisation of Tightening Algorithms with Atlas Copco |
Zoom Room:
kth-se.zoom.us/s/61826592914
An automated platform for repetitive ergonomic assessment of hand-held power tools Powered hand tools are highly common in industries for nut tightening where the operator is exposed to intense reaction forces and vibrations. This project’s mission was to construct an automatic test rig able to simulate a human operator with the purpose of having a platform for repetitive ergonomic assessment of improving nut tightening techniques. Autonomous Docking Prototype for an Electric Hydrofoiling Passenger Ferry |
Zoom Room:
kth-se.zoom.us/s/63366380937
No Captain? No problem! Candela is the world leader in innovative maritime electrification and is now taking the next step in revolutionizing the seas by developing the world’s first hydrofoiling passenger ferry, the “P-30”. To make public transport faster, safer, and cleaner, our task has been to develop an autonomous docking prototype for implementation on this P-30 platform. MechaPlanter Automatic Plantation Machine |
Zoom Room:
kth-se.zoom.us/s/64024362424
Our challenge? To solve a 30-year-old problem: how to automate forest plantation. Today the majority of the seedling planted in the Swedish forests is done by manual labour but this product will help to automatize this process by identifying a plantation spot, move to it and then plant a seedling. Come to our Demo to see the future of the forest industry! |
