Postdoc in generation and detection of CV squeezed light

KTH Royal Institute of Technology, School of Engineering Sciences

Job description

Squeezed light generation using optical cavities has led to fundamental breakthroughs in several quantum metrology experiments ranging from gravitational wave detection to quantum key distribution. In this project you will investigate the generation, detection and manipulation of squeezed states of light using guided wave devices (commercial and developed in house) with applications tailored towards both quantum communication and sensing. You will work in the Nonlinear and Quantum Photonics group at KTH AlbaNova, leading experiments on quantum photonic devices and systems for information, sensing and communication technologies. The position is supported by Swedish Research Council, Göran Gustafsson foundation and the Wallenberg Center for Quantum Technology (WACQT), a 12 years’ initiative with the purpose of advancing Swedish academia and industry to the forefront of quantum technology.

What we offer

  • A position at a leading technical university that generates knowledge and skills for a sustainable future
  • Engaged and ambitious colleagues along with a creative, international and dynamic working environment
  • Work in Stockholm, in close proximity to nature
  • Help to relocate and be settled in Sweden and at KTH
