Postdoc in transport of polymers and colloids in crowded fibre networks

School of Engineering Sciences in Chemistry, Biotechnology and Health at KTH

Job description

As a postdoctoral fellow, you will collaborate in a project that focuses on studying the transport processes of polymer and colloid systems in wood fiber-based materials and wood at high concentrations. The goal is to increase our knowledge to facilitate and optimize industrial processes. To achieve this, the research will focus on macromolecular mechanisms that control the interaction between wood fiber and selected polymer systems. The work is mainly experimental and involves laboratory work using the infrastructure of the institution and will include the use of advanced characterization techniques using large-scale synchrotron and neutron facilities. Specifically, measurements will be performed at the MAX IV and PETRA III synchrotrons in Lund and Hamburg. tools for analyzing data from the use of the advanced characterization techniques. The knowledge gained from this project will be implemented in experiments aimed at industrial implementation and the work will be carried out in collaboration with other projects in the area.
