Job description

Quantum key distribution (QKD) is a well-established technology to distribute secret keys between two or more parties for data encryption. Within this position you will be involved in the experimental activities to setup a quantum communication testbed and operational hub at KTH. You will work in the Nonlinear and Quantum Photonics (NQP) group and in the national quantum communication infrastructure in Sweden (NQCIS) led by Prof. Katia Gallo at the Department of Applied Physics. In this framework, we are looking for highly motivated candidates who will be a part of experimental tests and demonstrations of QKD systems in lab settings and of in-field implementations in the Stockholm metropolitan area.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A graduate degree or an advanced level (higher education) in the research subject or equivalent competence. 

Preferred qualifications

  • Experimental skills in quantum optics and photonics
  • Project work in topics relevant to the position
  • Capability to work independently and in a goal-oriented fashion
  • Good collaboration skills

About the employment
