On this page, you can track the course's development over time. Once the course analysis is published, data for each course offering is displayed, including the number of registered students, course results, and planned improvements for the next session. All course syllabuses and course memos are shown on the page Archive.

The information can help prospective, current, and former students with course selection, or to follow up on their own participation. Teachers, course coordinators, examiners, program directors, and others can use the page as a resource for course development.

2025

Spring 2025-61157 ( Start date 17 Mar 2025, English )

Changes planned for the next course offering

The course will fully migrate to Canvas, which should improve the information available out-of-class. Oral exam is rather unfamiliar experience to some students (first oral for some in this course). Will attempt to more clearly communicate the related expectations. Will likely retire the old compendium going forward. Will keep optimizing the new compendium ("Lecture notes", typeset, book style). Will likely retire the weekly quizzes and focus the home-assignment part (INL) on the Student Workshop (oral presentation with report in form of research paper), which was rather uniformly appreciated this year. Some students liked broader topics/discussions during the lectures that kept the lectures 'alive', others felt they were 'tangential'. A balancing act will likely continue.
