Changes planned for the next course offering
The following changes are planned to be introduced gradually in the upcoming offerings of the course. First, the lecture delivery will be revised to improve engagement. The lecture slides will undergo a thorough recheck of its restructure and proofreading. New quizzes and assignment questions and instructions will be reviewed and added. A proofreading pass will be conducted across all written course materials to address spelling and grammar issues.
To address the concern about uneven contributions in group assignments, clearer guidelines on individual accountability will be introduced, and the possibility of shifting some assignments to an individual format will be evaluated.
Finally, to mitigate concept retention issues across the two study periods, a mini mid-term assessment session will be introduced at the start of P2, reinforcing the deep learning of key OS topics in P1.
