Examination and completion

Grading scale

P, F

Examination

  • REF1 - Reflection, 0.5 credits, Grading scale: P, F
  • SEM1 - Seminars, 1.0 credits, Grading scale: P, F

Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.

The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.

The section below is not retrieved from the course syllabus:

REF1 - Reflection, 0.5 credits

This is an individual reflection on how you personally want to contribute to a more sustainable world. The reflection is handed in as a pdf in Canvas.

SEM1 - Seminars, 1.0 credits

There are three seminars in the course and it is mandatory to actively participate on all the three of them. The first seminar is a full-class seminar, while the class is separated in two groups at the other two seminars. To pass this examination, you need to:

  • Pass 3 quizzes on core concepts (one for each seminar)
  • Partipate actively on all the seminars
  • Write a group reflection after each seminar, which is handed in as a pdf in Canvas.

Alternatives to missed activities or tasks

You may miss one of the seminars, but you must then make a longer task either by your own or in group. Based on the number of students missing a seminar, it is up to the responsible teacher of each seminar to decide how this task will be arranged.  If you miss two or all three seminars, you must redo the whole course next year.

Ethical approach

  • All members of a group are responsible for the group's work.
  • In any assessment, every student shall honestly disclose any help received and sources used.
  • In an oral assessment, every student shall be able to present and answer questions about the entire assignment and solution.
