Simulation-Visualization-Interaction

SimVisInt is collaborative project bringing together competences in simulation technology, visualization and interaction. SimVisInt consists of a number of smaller projects amongst which the HEART project and the interactive HEART demonstration can be found.

The goal of the HEART project is to build a visualization of a human heart based on medical imaging data, combining it with an interactive interface with visual, haptic and sound feedback – allowing for a better understanding of the heart function and aiding diagnosis and treatment of heart diseases. The interactive HEART demonstration is a public showcase displaying a simulation of the blood flow through a heart. Visitors can interact with the simulation through software recognizing gestures and hand movements, allowing them to by simple gestures move and manipulate the visualization.
