Why did you choose this master’s programme at KTH?

I was interested in robotics from a very young age and continued to pursue it enthusiastically during my bachelor’s. During those formative years, I realised that I needed to get more technical knowledge in this field, and that’s when I decided to pursue my master’s. KTH was always a choice because of it’s international reputation and to add to that, Stockholm offered the best environment to try out one’s entrepreneurial spirit.

What are the best aspects of your programme?

My programme is an interdisciplinary one and offers a range of technical courses, from advanced controls to AI/ML etc. Furthermore, we are given the flexibility to choose a project course which helps in implementation of the learnings we gain in theory, and we also have the chance to research in RPL through a 15ECTS, year-long, research course.

Have you chosen a specialisation track within the programme? If Yes, which track and why?

I have focused myself on pursuing the Robotics and Autonomous Systems track since I find myself interested in working with the robotics hardware and it’s exciting for me to work in the amalgamation of intelligent systems (ML/AI/RL) and robotics.

What are some of your favourite courses so far?

Few of my favourite courses are:

1. Applied Estimation

2. Artificial Neural Networks and Deep Architectures

3. Project Course in Robotics and Autonomous Systems

4. Research project in Robotics, Perception and Learning

How does studies at KTH differ from your previous studies?

It has offered me the international experience I was looking for, a different working culture and an opportunity to really understand my interest and work on honing my skills in that.

How is student life in Stockholm?

To put it simply, it’s different and exciting!

How would you describe your time at KTH so far?

I have had a roller-coaster ride till now wherein I have experienced a lot of exciting opportunities, some tight deadlines and have met great people. I have grown each day and believe that I am better person than what I was when I joined KTH.

What do you want to do after graduating?

I wish to be an entrepreneur in the future, but for that, I might choose to gain some more working experience in Sweden.

What would you like to say to students thinking of choosing KTH for master’s studies?

If you are thinking about growing as a person, this is the place to be. One will be pleasantly surprised about what KTH and also Sweden offers. On a lighter note, be prepared for the cold and dark winters.
