USA: Purdue University

Purdue's campus lies in West Lafayette, Indiana and offers more than 200 majors for undergraduates. In addition, Purdue has 18 intercollegiate sports teams and more than 900 student organizations which strongly welcome internal exchange student participation. Purdue has in total approximately 40,000 students and enrolls the fourth largest international student population of any university in the United States.

Note: All exchange students are admitted as undergraduate students. Exchange students can access courses up to the 500 level. 50% of your courses must be within one School. Optional orientation for international students. Students have previously not been required to buy insurance through Purdue University. The insurance Student Out, provided by Kammarkollegiet, has been enough during previous academic years. Minor fees might be required. The required fees are however subject to change. The processing time for a visa to study in the USA can take a long time, therefore, you should start the application as soon as you have been accepted for exchange studies at a university in the USA. The same goes for arranging the necessary vaccines you need to start your studies in the US.

Exchange opportunities

Number of spots: 4 semester spots (2 autumn semesters + 2 spring semesters)
Grade requirements: 3.75. Nominees for admission as exchange students must have a minimum cumulative GPA equivalent to a U.S. 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (above average grades).
Previous Nominations: 4,0393 (2019/20), KTH did not fill all the study places 2020/21, 2021/22, 2022/23, and 2023/24.
