Heidelberg University – also known as Ruperto Carola – was established in 1386 and is Germany’s oldest university. It is also said to be one of the strongest research universities in Europe. Heidelberg University has twelve faculties with a total of more than 30.000 students. The University is situated in the city of Heidelberg. It is ranked among the top 40 in the world within physics.
