SJTU is one of the first national institutions of higher education and has become a comprehensive, research-oriented, and internationalized top 5 university in China. The university has 16,188 undergraduates and 28,842 postgraduates and 2,134 overseas students. SJTU is among KTH´s six strategic partner universities in the world, and have long history of collaborations at various levels with KTH. SJTU has nine major disciplines, namely economics, law, literature, science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, management and arts.

Exchange opportunities
Number of spots: 8 spots per semester
Grade requirements: Minimum 3.75 point average on KTH's scale of 5 (regardless of the information on SJTU Fact Sheet). HSK 5 at least for attending the Chinese language Taught Course (Original test certificate required). All exchange students will have the opportunity to take Chinese language courses at the beginnings’ level.
