University of Tokyo was established in 1877 as the first national university in Japan. Number of spots: Four autumn semester spots and four spring semester spots. Grade requirements: A minimum of 4,0 (on KTH's scale of 5). If studies performed in Japanese, a test JLPT level N1 is required; if in English on Undergraduate level, a TEOFL result IBT of 90 is required.
