Tokyo Institute of Technology is a national research university located in Tokyo. Six different schools (Science, Engineering, Materials & Chemical Technology, Computing, Life Science & Technology, Environment & Society) offer education to around 10,000 students, of which more than 1,200 are international. It is among the top 10 universities of Japan and the top 200 universities of the world.

TiT requires that the nominated students submit a portfolio together with the application. It is also required to submit a Letter of Recommendation and a description of your "research subject".
