Italy: Politecnico di Milano

With 40 000 students, Politecnico di Milano is the largest technical university in Italy and one of the leading in Europe. The term "politecnico" means that it is a state university with education in engineering and architecture. Politecnico di Milano is organised in 16 faculties on seven campuses in the region Lombardia. The university has close cooperation with industry in the region.
