Brazil: (PUC-Rio) Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro

PUC-Rio is the highest ranked private and one of the best universities in Brazil. Located in the central parts of Rio de Janeiro offering many courses in English the university has become a popular destination among international students. PUC-Rio is a comprehensive university with around 15 000 students.

Note: Relatively many courses taught in English. No proficiency test in Portuguese or English required. Mandatory Portuguese test required when admitted. If students do not have sufficient language skills in Portuguese a mandatory course runing during the semester is required. Voluntary preparatory course offered (cost aprox. 5000 SEK), additional administrative cost may apply (aprox. 1200SEK). Help with accommodation only as part of 'home stay programmes'.
