Review of grade
As a student, you cannot appeal a grade. However, you can request a review of the grade decision.
How review of grade works
As a student, you cannot appeal a grade, but you can request a review of a grade decision. You can do this by filling out the form below. In the form, you must clearly state which questions you refer to and why the examiner should review your answers.
Suppose an examiner finds that a grade decision is clearly incorrect due to new circumstances or other reasons. In that case, the examiner must change the decision if it can be done quickly and easily and if it means that the grade is not lowered. This is stated in Chapter 6, Section 24 of the Higher Education Ordinance (1993:100). The fact that it should be done quickly and easily means that the possibility of reviewing a grade does not normally apply when further investigation is required in the case. You will be notified via email whether your review has been approved or via the service Written exams (kth.se) .
How to fill in the form
You need to be specific and provide concrete information. It is not enough to write that you want a review. You need to justify your request. You can do this by providing specific answers or parts of answers that justify how you achieve the grading criteria.
Please note that if you have already requested a review for a specific exam question, KTH will not reassess it.
