During the autumn semester 2024, KTH Library will host a book discussion where we will read and discuss Toni Morrison’s Beloved. This is the story about Sethe that escapes slavery and lives at 124 Bluestone Road with her daughter Denver. Memories of her past keep coming back and so does her dead daughter Beloved. Beloved is a story that can be discussed from many perspectives, for example slavery and freedom, loss and love, home and exile.

The book discussion is part of the KTH Library’s contribution to the overall equality work at KTH. The aim is to create a common arena for all KTH to discuss questions of gender equality, sustainability and equal rights and together contribute to the elimination of inequalities.

The book discussion will be held in English.

The first five people to sign up will receive their own copy of the book Beloved!

If you sign up but aren't among the first five, you can borrow the book from many libraries around Stockholm, or purchase your own copy if you prefer.
