Words of praise at Ela Plaza's pension withdrawal

Professor Elzbieta Plaza was congratulated on her retirement at the SEED Mini Conference on November 5, with words of praise for her significant contributions over the years.

Professor Elzbieta Plaza (Ela) has been an integral part of KTH since she arrived in 1985 as a PhD student in Water Resources Engineering, completing her dissertation in 1990 under the supervision of Bengt Hultman. She became a docent in 2001 and was appointed professor in Water Supply and Wastewater Engineering Wastewater Treatment Technologyin 2010. Over the years, she has supervised nine PhD and eight licentiate theses, with several projects conducted at the Sjöstadsverket Water Innovation Centre (SWIC). After formally concluding her role as professor in 2022, she has continued contributing to both education and research. At SEED Mini Conference on Nov 5th, 2024, SEED expressed our gratitude for her valuable contributions and lasting impact on the field. SEED hopes to welcome her as a Professor Emerita in the future.
