Henrik Ernstson awarded IJURR Best Article Prize 2023

International Journal of Urban and Regional Research (IJURR) has selected Henrik Ernstson ’s article “Blocos Urbanism: Capitalism and Modularity in the Making of Contemporary Luanda” as their Best Article in 2023.

The article is written together with Ricardo Cardoso, The Ohio State University and Jia-Ching Chen, University of California, and focuses on their joint analysis of how oil is sold to China to become houses and infrastructure in Luanda, Angola.

IJURR is one of the most influential and respected journals in Urban Studies.
