Lina Bertling Tjernberg new deputy head of school at EECS

Earlier this week the new EECS' management was presented. As one new recruitment we find Lina Bertling Tjernberg, as Deputy Head of School with a focus on research conditions and impact. EECS’ led by Head of School Ann Lantz.

"It is a great trust and honour to take on this role. With my experience leading the KTH Energy platform , several international and national research visits, and involvement in various advisory roles, I look forward to contributing to KTH's success."

Lina Bertling Tjernberg will remain as the director of the energy platform until the end of June, when all platforms at KTH are phased out, as announced in December. Annika Borgenstam said at that time: "The platforms have served KTH well, but now we will try something new where we can open up for new, more agile initiatives and investments in line with our vision, KTH's mission and what is current in the outside world,". Looking ahead, Bertling Tjernberg hopes to contribute to KTH's vision of leading sustainable societal development, where both technology and humanity are at the forefront, through research that revolutionizing today's societal development.

"I will contribute to making our research visible, encourage dialogues and collaboration within our research environments and with external ones, and help us position ourselves in strategic arenas. I want to help us drive national and international development in our strategic research areas and support researchers from research to entrepreneurship. I will also represent EECS in centres and various other committees."
