At the IEEE AP-S symposium in San Diego, bachelor students Harald Hultin, Jonas Olsson and Fernando Franzén, got the second place award in a student competition.
The aim of the competition was to: "Design and build a cubesat antenna for enabling high-performance communications with a ground station."
Associated professor Oscar Quevedo Teruel, programme director for the master programme in Electromagnetic, Fusion and Space Engineering joined the team at the conference: "I hope that we will continue the upcoming following years with this success rate, although it is already so high. I must confess that in the conference, the other professors and universities started to be jealous about us!" he says.
