QS Subject Rankings: KTH in top 20 in Architecture/Built Environment

In the latest QS World University Rankings by Subject and by Faculty, KTH Royal Institute of Technology has placed high in key areas. Architecture/Built Environment is in top 20 for the first time.

This year's positions for the School of Architecture and the Built Environment's subjects (2020):

The QS World University Rankings by Subject

The QS World University Rankings by Subject are compiled annually to help prospective students identify the leading universities in a particular subject. Universities are assessed based on their academic reputation, employer reputation, research citations per paper and h-index in the relevant subject.

  • Architecture/Built Environment: 20 (2019: 23; 2018: 24)
  • Civil & Structural Engineering: 42 (2019: 43; 2018: 45)
  • Environmental sciences: 101-150 (2019: 101-150; 2018: 101-150
