New CeXS Technical Report on Sample Environments
Be inspired by the range of research experiments that are already possible - and simplify your search for a useful sample environment - by browsing our catalogue of sample environments that have proven to be of use at the PETRA III Swedish Materials Science beamline
Researchers who are new to synchrotron based research measurements have many things to investigate before they get started - including identifying a suitable sample environment for conducting in situ or in operando experiments. With the aim of simplifying this, CeXS have just published a new Technical Report "Overview of sample environments for research use at the PETRA III Swedish Materials Science beamline".
This report catalogues eleven sample environments that have proven to be useable, or are judged to potentially be useable with modifications, at the PETRA III Swedish Materials Science beamline. The starting point of the catalogue is research application categories, which are Thermal treatments, Electrochemistry, Catalysis, Thin films, Mechanical response of materials and Levitation.
Each sample environment catalogue entry provides examples of experiments and research results that were obtained using the sample environments. Citations and links to specifications, published research cases and the organisation that is responsible for a given sample environment, are also provided as a basis for researchers to proceed with their research planning.
