The second OpTIMUS Summer School on Modelling Tools for Sustainable Development will take place between June 4 - 29, 2018 at the International Centre for Theoretical Physics  (ICTP) in Trieste, Italy. As part of the summer school, KTH-dESA in collaboration with the World Bank , will organize an extended training workshop on the Open Source Spatial Electrification Tool  (OnSSET). The workshop will include training on GIS data processing and spatial electrification analysis as well as a dedicated session on EnergyData.info . The participants will have the chance to get hands-on experience using the tool and conduct customized electrification plans for their countries.
In addition, on Tuesday, June 5^th 2018 the Summer School will host the 2^nd OnSSET Steering Committee. The invitees will discuss upon advances of the tool, its academic excellence and future developments aiming to better support electrification efforts where needed.
