Identified as the 2nd most important contribution from the WBG in Africa in the last 5 years

The Africa Knowledge Fest 2017 , held in Washington DC in the end of February, and organised by the Africa Region of the World Bank, celebrates the research promoted by the World Bank Group with focus on Africa. In the event, three research projects were selected as the ones that produced the most impactful knowledge work in Africa in the last five years. The project “ Enhancing the Climate Resilience of Africa’s Infrastructure - the power and water sectors ”, which involved the collaboration of KTH-dESA researchers Vignesh Sridharan and Oliver Broad (among others), was awarded the second prize in this category. Note that the World Bank Group has published over 4,000 research titles on Africa’s most pressing regional and national development issues, and it is a great honour for KTH-dESA to be part of such relevant and significant efforts with the reach to impact Africa’s development.
