In South Africa, ~60% of the population does not have access to electricity.

in collaboration with KTH-dESA have developed a national investment outlook that will allow the country to achieve universal access to electricity by 2030. The investment requirements vary between 4.2 – 63.04 billion USD depending on the selected electrification approach, which will allow 31 million peoplegetting access to modern, reliable and affordable electricity services by 2030.
