The International Centre for Theoretical Physics  (ICTP), in Trieste, Italy, is presently hosting a Summer School  on the Climate, Land Use, Energy and Water systems framework. The School is organised by KTH-dESA, UNDP, UNDESA, and the OPTIMUS Community. A total of 27 participants from 13 different countries are over the next couple of weeks introduced to the concept of the nexus and trained in the use of modelling tools for the development of country-wide multi-systems models.
This exercise integrates aspects from the water, energy and land use systems and aims at capturing the most relevant cross-sectoral interactions between these systems at the national level. OSeMOSYS , developed by KTH and partners, via the interface MoManI , is the main modelling tool used in the 3-week training.
