IEA Workshop

On 27 March 2017 the International Energy Agency  (IEA) brought together over 100 experts from 30 countries including governments, business, academia and the finance sector representatives to share best practices and policy actions needed to achieve SDG7 . KTH Division of Energy Systems Analysis has proudly been involved in this dialogue discussing among others how energy development can unleash productive economic activity and accelerate economic growth, and whether the pathway to universal modern energy access will follow or diverge from the centralized energy sector development path taken by many in the past. The division’s modelling tools ( & OSeMOSYS ) will try to answer some of these questions in the WEO 2017  special report titled "Energy Access Outlook: from Poverty to Prosperity" expected in October 2017.
