Enhancing self-sufficiency of Cypriot public authorities in carrying out their own energy system

On February 15th to 17th, KTH-dESA researchers carried out a training on the use of OSeMOSYS for energy system planning at the Ministry of Energy, Commerce, Industry and Tourism in Nicosia, Cyprus. The training was based on a detailed and comprehensive model of the Cypriot energy system developed at dESA, including the electricity, heating and cooling, and transportation infrastructure. Officers from various governmental departments, the Energy Regularoty Authority and the Distribution System Operator took part in the activity. The aim of the training was to help enhance self-sufficiency of Cypriot public authorities in carrying out their own energy system analysis in the future.
