Dear OnSSET enthusiasts, the Open Source Spatial Electrification Tool has now gone a long way since its development started 3 years ago. It has been evolved from a GIS “experiment” to a modelling tool currently being used for electrification planning in several countries. It now hosts its own
website
and a specially developed
online interface
to facilitate its quick adoption by a greater audience.
We are glad to announce that on Saturday, June 24th 2017 the 1st OnSSET Steering Committee will take place in the International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) in Trieste, Italy as part of the
OPTIMUS
Community workshop. The committee will discuss on matters that concern academic excellence, the enhancement of the open source tool as well as future capacity building activities. A brief will be distributed shortly after the meeting.
