5G will enable the Internet of Things

In this episode of KTH Tech Talks we meet Jens Zander discussing 5G with Lena Wosinska, professor in telecommunications at KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
5G, the forthcoming fifth generation mobile networks or fifth generation wireless systems is a necessity for for a breakthrough for the Internet of Thing. 5G will be much faster and it will have considerably higher capacity and lower latency than the current standard 4G. So when will it be launched? Some claim that it will be launched before 2020. However, it will take much longer than that before 5G becomes standard, according to Jens Zander, professor in radio communication systems at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden.
