Modern web applications need to not only look attractive, but to function well on many different devices and in various contexts. That requires a high skill level from both designers and developers, and above all a mutual understanding for each others’ roles in a project.

Was the announcement before the conference.

The speakers came from different parts of the world, for example Greece, Holland and USA. And their topics covered web testing, analytics and different script- and web developing laguages.
- It is always fun to get to know like-minded developers and the latest state of the art in web development. SWDC gives me the chance to do both, says Cristobal Viedma, research engineer at KTH and also one of the organizers of Scandinavian Developer Conference 2011.

207 developers, mainly from Sweden participated in the conference.
- There were people from all trades of life. About a forth of the people were students, then we had a number of professionals from companies such as Valtech, Spotify, etcetera, says Cristobal Viedma.

After the conference, Cristobal Viedma was very pleased with how the conference turned out.
- I think every one had great experience and, judging not just from my point of view but also from Twittersphere, the quality of the talks were sounded.
