On 1 June, KTH hosted an event on the topic of accelerating the transition to sustainable production and consumption. The event was part of a one-day conference organised by KTH in collaboration with Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm University and Stockholm Environment Institute.

The overall theme of the one-day conference was how science can contribute to the transformative changes necessary to reach the global targets of sustainability. The conference consisted of several parallel sessions, each organised by one of the partner organizations.

KTH:s session was moderated by Karin Larsdotter, deputy director of KTH Climate Action Centre. Several researchers from KTH participated and discussed how science can help the acceleration of the transition to sustainable production and consumption. The event ended with a panel discussion.

The one-day conference was organised as part of the 50th anniversary of the UN’s first environmental conference. The anniversary is marked by a three-day conference lasting between 1-3 June.
